Smells Like a Mushroom (PS5) is a deliberately silly third-person platformer shooter from Destructive Creations, developed by Red Limb Studio. You join the Aveggers to fight an alien mushroom invasion across the solar system. This is the physical disc for PlayStation 5, rated GENERIC 12. Vegetables versus mushrooms Parasitic mushrooms have invaded from space and spread across the Milky Way. Humans are long extinct and vegetables rule the Earth, so it should not be your problem, but somehow you are the one who has to stop it. Aboard the Aveggers' space cruiser, the Soil-Trek, you travel to planets to find the long-lost human technology needed to defeat the head mushroom honcho, Satanus Boletus, who has settled on the Sun. Your heroes are the brave Carrotado, General Despotato, and the scientists Nicola Siesta and Garlic Ailstein. The tone is full of boomer jokes and vegetable puns, and the developers say outright that they were not aiming for an award for best writing.
